Jan's Frog Quilt Part 2

Jan's Frog Quilt

I went to college at Angelo State University in San Angelo, Texas in the 70's. I lived in a dorm with a room mate and 2 suite mates because we shared a bathroom(4). My suite mate was my friend, Jan. We have stayed in touch over the years. I have been to her house in Houston twice after going to the International Quilt Show. She and her family came out here last summer to visit us and explore our beautiful state. She has a collection of frogs and asked me to make her a wall hanging with frogs in it. I found a cute fabric and made 2 quilts(wall hangings). I used Anne Bright design "Cotton Candy" with Superior Thread King Tut "Pharaoh Tales". She got them this week and loves them. I really enjoyed making them for her.

March Madness

March is almost over and it has been a busy month but a very good one. I have 2 quilts to get done which is good. I'm getting ready to show 2 quilts at the Home Machine Quilt Show in Salt Lake in May. I'm excited about attending the show and taking classes. I had trouble with my quilting machine but with the help of my wonderful husband and EZ Quilting(Logan, Utah)"Joe" it is working fine. I was able to finish the quilting on the quilt top I started at the Winter retreat. It is a pattern from Karla Alexander called Savanna. I decided to call it Tropicana because of the tropical fabric in it. I used Anne Bright design called Flamingo Sunset with Superior Thread King Tut called Cleopatra. I'm entering this quilt and my "Priscilla" quilt to be judged at the Quilt Show in Salt Lake.

Desert Sunset

I made a quilt top in November 2013 from a pattern that was in Quilting Quickly Missouri Star Quilt Co called Desert Sunset. I used a jelly roll called Volcano. I finished quilting it in February with a Anne Bright design called Luna and of course used Superior Thread King Tut Cleopatra. I love this thread color and have used it a lot on other quilts. I took some pictures today which turned out better than the last pictures I took in February.
