Happy New Year's Eve
This is to say goodbye to 2013 and Happy new Year 2014. I have enjoyed having a quilting business and doing this blog. I missed showing a table runner that I did the middle of this year. I took a block from Quiltmaker's 100 blocks Vol 7 called Enchanted. I love this bright fabric and was able to do the quilting on my Pfaff 18.8 Grandquilter/Quilt Artist. I used Anne Bright E/E design called Flamingo Sunset. I used Superior Thread King Tut called Cleopoatra. Here are a few pictures.

Surprise Quilt called Strawberry Hill
I have wanted to make a quilt for my sister-in-law for several years. She needed the love of a quilt this year. I made a lap side quilt from a postcard pattern called Blueberry Hill by Villa Rosa designs. I had a jelly roll of batiks called Watermelon.
I used a Anne Bright design called Cotton Candy with Superior Thread King Tut called Harem. I had a label made by friend Paige. I asked my sister-in-law if I could post pictures on my blogs and she said ok but she wouldn't look at them. I can't post pictures on Facebook yet.
I'm excited to give it to her when she comes here the week of Thanksgiving. Here are a few pictures of the quilt.

BABY QUILTS
Last month, I found out my hairdresser, Andrea is going to have twin boys in November. I was so HAPPY for her because she has been trying for 13 years. I decided to make her a baby quilt for each boy and ask her what her colors were for the baby room. She wanted black, red and white. I picked a pattern from The Quilter Magazine Aug/Sept 2013 called Simply Sweet by Barbara Chonjnacki. I found a great solid red, simple black print and a cute material that has all colors in it. I changed the pattern on one so both quilts didn't look the same. I'm putting labels on them today and will give her the quilts on Oct 10. Here our pictures of the baby quilts. I used Noodle Soup Anne Bright Design with Cleopatra Superior Thread King Tut.

Happy Anniversary
It was a year ago today that got my business license to start a quilting business. It has been a very fun and learning process to do a business. I really love quilting on my Pfaff Grandquilter 18.8 and Quilt Artist. I learned about Anne Bright Designs at MQX and have used her designs on my quilts. My goal was to at least 3-5 quilts in a year which I achieved.
I'm looking forward to another year to making beautiful quilts for my customers.

Riley Blake "Priscilla" by Lila Tueller
I was luck to win a charm pack of 24 10" squares from Lila Tueller that designed the "Priscilla" fabric for Riley Blake. I decided to make a "Priscilla" quilt by adapting a pattern from Fons and Porter Quilting Quickly called Easy Breezy Beautiful. I used Anne Bright design called Alex and Superior Thread Tiny Tuts. I love the "Priscilla" fabric and have brought more online since I can't find in our quilt stores. Here are pictures of my quilt.

Oregon State Fair Quilt Walk
The Oregon State Fair started on August 23- Sept 2. I have been working with the quilting committee which consisted of 6 quilters from the Mid Valley Quilt Guild since Nov. We meet with State Fair organizers for Creative Living to establish the Quilt Walk again. The fair last year was run into the ground due to budget cuts. This year after hard work the Quilt Walk is back and about 200 quilts entered to the fair. Here are a few pictures of the Oregon State Fair 2013:

Paige's King Size Quilt
I finished my 1st King size quilt for my friend, Paige. She made it as a wedding quilt for her daughter and son-in-law. It was a challenge to do that big of a quilt, piecing of the quilt and material. I had looked thru Anne Bright designs and found 2 that I liked. One of them was Alex which I liked and showed it to Paige. She loved it. I used Superior thread King Tut Sandstorm. The quilt turned out beautiful with this design on it. I posted a few pictures of the quilt. I wanted to take pictures outside but the quilt was to heavy.
